Jesus taught Peter in the book of Matthew about forgiveness.
Matthew 18: 21-22 - Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Matthew 6:14-15 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

St. John 15: 12-14 (KJV) "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."
There truly is no greater love than the love that Jesus Christ showed when he gave his life on the cross of Calvary. This sacrifice was given so that each one of us could be filled with God's love. Today, let God's love rule in your heart and mind.
Psalms 91:2 " I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust."
St. John 14: 27 " Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
There are situations in life that arise, in which no comfort can be found, but in God alone. Open your heart to Him and let Him be your shelter and peace.
As followers of Jesus Christ, isn’t it wonderful that in the midst of our times of sorrow, loss, and pain that we can feel the gentle comfort of our Saviour. In every situation of life Jesus can strengthen, re-assure, encourage, and send divine assistance to help us make it through. He invites us to cast all of our care upon Him because he cares for us.
“What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and grief to bear,
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer…”

“Small deeds done are better than great deeds dreamed” (from a sermon by Sister Nancy Collier). Put the love of Christ into action this week…a seemingly small deed of kindness done in Jesus’s name can have eternal impact on that person’s life.
Matthew 7:12 (KJV) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do you even so to them…
